This is a fun and educational toy for fans of Star Wars. The device functions as an ambiant LED light but behind the scenes the lightsaber it can be used to learn about electronics and other STEM field topics.

The first step is to build your new lightsaber, seeing how the connected circuits allow current to flow and the light to be powered. Once together, the lightsaber can be mounted on the wall. Little Padawans can customize the light to shine one of eight different colors. The included remote control unit can be used to turn the light on and off.
